Quick delivery apps and dark stores in Kerala

Updated October 2026

Kerala has 205 dark stores spread over 32 cities and towns. Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram lead, and Swiggy Instamart, not Blinkit, is the biggest app in the state.

Dark stores in Kerala by city

The three biggest cities hold 53.2% of the state’s dark stores between them. In Kochi, Swiggy Instamart has about 29.2% of the city’s dark stores. In 14 of the 32 Kerala cities and towns, only one or two apps deliver.

Greater Kochi has the most stores. Kalamassery, Vazhakkala, Aluva, Thrippunithura and Cheranallur have their own pages as separate towns but sit around the same city. Kozhikode and Thrissur lead in the north and centre. Because Kerala’s towns run into each other, stores are spread thinly across many small places rather than packed into one city.
