Zepto delivery partner salary and how to join

Zepto says its delivery partners earn ₹25,000–40,000 a month (June 2025). Riders who protested in Thane in March 2026 said they were paid about ₹15 an order, or ₹450–500 for a seven-hour day. Zepto has no official rider sign-up page on its own website. Apply only through zepto.com or the Zepto app.

How much does a Zepto delivery partner earn?

Zepto publishes no typical monthly pay. Its own figure and what riders say differ a lot, so each one is shown with who gave it.

None of these figures is guaranteed. Take-home pay depends on your hours, city, incentives, fuel and vehicle costs, and nobody publishes a typical figure after costs.

How to join Zepto as a delivery partner

Look for a delivery partner link only on zepto.com or inside the Zepto app. Zepto’s own website has no rider sign-up page.
If a job portal lists a Zepto rider opening, check that the company hiring names Zepto as its client.
Keep your documents ready.
Complete the background check and training. Ask which store you will be attached to and which shifts are open.
Read the pay terms in the app before your first shift: the per-order rate, distance and weight extras, incentive targets and any deductions.
Check that your details are on the government’s e-Shram portal, so you can claim gig-worker benefits.

Documents you need to become a Zepto delivery partner

Zepto does not publish a document list. Blinkit’s published list is a fair guide to what quick-delivery apps ask riders for:

18 years or older
Your own two-wheeler
An Android phone with internet
Driving licence, vehicle RC and vehicle insurance
PAN card
Address proof and an active bank account

What a Zepto delivery shift is like

Zepto riders work from one dark store. You log in near the store, the store team packs each order, and you collect it and deliver it nearby, then return for the next one.

Peak-hour bonuses make a big difference to a day’s pay. Ask which slots carry bonuses at your store and how many orders the incentive targets need.

Zepto rider pay disputes and protests

In May 2025 the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union said Zepto’s per-order pay had fallen to ₹10–15 from about ₹30, and that riders needed 300–330 orders a week to earn about ₹10,000. Zepto called the figures false. It said average payout is “2.5 times higher” and that riders get 97% of the cost per order.

Insurance and social security for Zepto riders

During a May 2025 dispute, Zepto said it gives delivery partners ₹1 lakh of OPD (outpatient) insurance, discounts on medicines and free video consultations with doctors. Zepto does not list these benefits on its own website.

The national Code on Social Security adds a government benefit scheme on top of any company cover, and Karnataka and Telangana have their own gig-worker laws on notice, pay and deductions that apply to Zepto riders too (Zepto has 202 stores in Karnataka and 149 stores in Telangana). How to avoid fake Zepto delivery job offers

Fake delivery-job sites use app names to collect “registration” fees. In August 2025 the Delhi High Court ordered fake Zepto job sites such as zeptojob.com and zeptojobs.in taken down. Never pay a person or a personal UPI ID for a job, and report job fraud on 1930 or at cybercrime.gov.in.
